Twist & Shout

Shake it up baby, twist and shout... Just a quick snapshot of me at the Twist & Shout show at The Bing tonight! I had so much fun bopping about to this Beatles tribute band, they were surprisingly fabulous! It was a full house, and everyone was just loving it and having a stellar time! It made me so happy :)

I wanted to channel the early 60's with my ensemble so I threw on this floral mini-dress & mod button-front sweater, both have been in my closet forever, a necklace around my waist (easy belt idea), a stack of bracelets, nude lipstick and was out the door! I couldn't have asked for a more fun Monday night!

Farm Girl Chic

I felt very cutesy in this outfit! I love the combination of everything in this outfit: the pin-dot print of this dress, romantic jewelry, feather headband and natural looking rope belt. Outfits really come to life when you start to mix things together you wouldn't necessarily expect and add your own little details!

The look: farm girl chic :)

Fab Five

Hey my fellow fashionistas :)
Hope you all are having a wonderful week & enjoying the sunshine we've been getting, even if it is coming to us in spurts! Here's my list of the Five Fabest things of my week :)

My baby, Eloise! I miss her soooo much now that I moved! It was so nice to play with her on a sunny day earlier this week. I'm absolutely loving this picture of us too! (Yes, that flower in my hair is real!)

Sweet Frostings Blissful Bakeshop, one of the happiest, sweetest (no pun intended) places downtown to treat yourself :) Check them out ASAP! Must Try: Salted Carmel Chocolate Cupcake

One of David Gandy's print ads for Banana Republic Spring/Summer 2012! Every time I see one of his ads I catch myself drooling!

One of Jigsaw's new jewelry displays! Doesn't this just make you crave Summer?!

10 Things I Hate About You has to be one of my most fave movies EVER! Watched it earlier this week on VHS (I was desperate) & I honestly couldn't wipe the smile off my face the entire movie :) Watch this if you need a little burst of love/happiness/romance/humor!

A Stroll in the Park

I was kind of going for a rockabilly look with this ensemble and I think taking these photos in the park made for a retro, fun setting. Call me Frenchie!

I love the pairing of this pink buffalo-check vintage skirt with the leopard print tank and Johnny Was floral scarf. It's sooooo funky, with out being to over-the-top. I love leopard print because it goes with virtually everything, even other prints. Plus, it adds a little bit of spunk to an outfit which is always necessary in my book! Remember, keeping prints in the same color palette makes it easiest to wear multiple prints at once...

Have fun putting together your own print-on-print ensemble!!!

Fab Five

Sorry I missed last weeks Fab Five list! I've been ferociously busy with unpacking and making my apartment feel at home. This week I tackled organizing my closet, clothes, jewels, shoes, etc. It's a long process if you do it right, but I'm close to being done. Yay me! I also re-purposed a chair and found a couple of fun places to get inspired and be happy in my neighborhood :)

Stella McCartney Spring 2012 looks! All of her designs are totally green and eco-friendly, which is a must in the 21st Century! I love the pajama suiting on the right, and the dress on the left is simply amazing! Blake Lively wore a version of it in Elle last month!

Loooovvveeee this outfit! I felt like a Grecian goddess sporting this at work! The colors are amazing :)

Yummy treats from Luxe, in my opinion the chicest little coffee shop in downtown Spokane (it looks like Marie Antoinette lives here) I thought I was a frappe girl until I tried there caramel latte. Sweet, frothy deliciousness! It's a must try!!!

With a broken chair, a bit of leftover paint, an old pillow, batting from a box we received at work and a dress I was "over" I re-purposed it all into the girliest place to sit in my new digs! I'm so proud of my little creation, and it's completely green! Happy almost Earth Day!

Turquoise & orange, the color combo of the season! We are loving these colors together, all currently available at Jigsaw!

Have the most fabulous weekend and a fun filled Earth Day! Do something good for our planet :)

1930's Georgia

The weather was beautiful in Spokane this last week so I tried to embrace it as much as possible! Now that I'm a City Girl and all, I can honestly say I felt a little like Carrie Bradshaw running around Downtown this week, it was fabulous!
In this outfit I felt as if I walked straight out of a hot, spring day in 1930's Georgia :) I absolutely love this Johnny Was eyelet dress. It is so light and easy, I can't wait to laze around this summer in it. For a little color I pinned this citron yellow flower in my hair. Snake print wedges, a tough belt and pearls finished off my springy look.

Betty Crocker does Fashionista

I think I have succeeded at making an apron a fashion statement... Thursday I wore this fun apron from Anthropologie (a very sweet and much appreciated house warming gift from my boss, thank you Susan) to work! I layered it over my body-con, dusty blue Metalicus dress that you probably all recognize & belted it. The look: Betty Crocker does Fashionista! I felt so cute and my outfit honestly made me so happy! How can you not be happy wearing something with such an eclectic print and pretty color palette, even if it is an apron? Hope this inspires you to rock an apron outside of the kitchen  :)

Hope you all have a good Friday and a fabulous Easter weekend! I'm going to be moving this weekend, but will try my hardest to fit some Easter fun in every chance I get! Wish me luck! Hope you all overdose on chocolate bunnies and jelly beans!!! xoxoxo

Mad Hatter

I always love how a fun topper can add a punch of personality to even the simplest of outfits (and cover up a bad hair day)! I was so happy to find this 60's hat at a vintage shop for a steal. I think the print and color combination is so special!

Angular

Loooovvveeed my outfit Sunday! This skirt (Joseph Ribkoff; Jigsaw) is such a funky shape and so cool because of the angular stripe pattern. I seriously love it, especially for its comfort. Paired with a fierce heel and a little sparkle I felt like an edgy princess all day!
I also love this fun hair idea I got from Ally, it's sooooo easy! You just wrap a bracelet around your bun (I used a studded double-wrap bracelet) and voilĂ  a glammy, and quick hair do :)
